With
Summer quickly approaching what better thing to have handy
than a travel journal? Make this journal and tuck it away
in your car or purse to write down the funny anecdotes and
experiences that this summer takes you on.
Supplies:
Blank
Journal
Scenic Route Theme Set – Star
Scenic Route Chipboard Circles – Out of Town
Autumn Leaves Bag-o-Buttons – Super Star
Tools:
Trimmer
Colorbox Fluid Chalk - Charcoal
Computer and Printer
Font - Georgia
Basic Grey File Set
Directions:
1.
Trim Metropolis “Kraft Stars” paper to 4 ¾”
x 7” (or whatever dimensions are best for the size of
your journal) paying close attention to how the stars in the
pattern are positioned on your journal cover. Ink edges. Adhere
to journal.
2.
Print “My Travels” on a 3” x 3” block.
I used the font Georgia size 48. Trim this block above the
words to make it around 2” x 3”. Ink edges. Mat
this on a
2 ¼” x 3 ¼” piece of green cardstock.
3.
Place this block on the journal towards the bottom left and
adhere.
4.
Sand chipboard circles and adhere to layout with glue dots.
5.
Trim 1 ½” pieces of ribbon and ric-rac, form
into a “V” shape and adhere behind chipboard circles
(see photo).
